Windows 10 change default keyboard login screen free download -

There use to be a bug that was then fixed, but after I updated Windows 10 to this week, it's back There are two accounts on my desktop. Before the update to , changing the account in the login page would change the keyboard layout, meaning that I would type my password in AZERTY but if the other person wants to log in, she would be able to type her password in QWERTY. Now the login page is always defaulting to AZERTY, so she has to change it manually before she can enter her password.

This leads to frustration since she is used to Windows changing the keyboard layout automatically when she types her password, so her password gets rejected and THEN she realises she has to change the layout.

However, on the login screen, if my account is selected, the French keyboard is selected.

If I click on the other account to select it instead, the keyboard layout does not switch to English, I have to select it manually 2 clicks, 1st on "FRA", then choose "ENG" in the list. I have the same problem at school but it's more simple: all keyboard layouts are dutch-belgium but afte the update to it changes default to qwerty. I have a similar problem after updating to However after updating to Anniversary Edition if I try to type English in Cortana search or any 'Windows 10 app' style program it uses qwerty.

If I type Japanese it still uses the colemak layout, but if I use Japanese Input's 'direct input' to type English it uses qwerty layout. What I have done is add English United States with colemak layout as an additional language. I can use that to type English with colemak layout in Cortana search. Set the keyboard layout you want as default on the Welcome screen as your default keyboard layout. Clock, Language, and Region window will appear.

Follow "Change date, time, or number formats" under Region. Region dialog will appear. Select Administrative tab. So first set up your own settings language, keyboard etc they way you want it. Then do this:. I am using Group Policy Registry settings to setup en-US welcome screen input language by default on domain computers.

There are only two registry values in single key:. I am sure that default input language is EN on welcome screen. It is very usable because usernames are also English. It performs automatically copying user language settings to login screen. The user is restricted to the set of input methods that are enabled in the system account. Note this does not affect the availability of user input methods on the lock screen or with the UAC prompt. If the policy is Enabled, then the user will get input methods enabled for the system account on the sign-in page.

If the policy is Disabled or Not Configured, then the user will be able to use input methods enabled for their user account on the sign-in page. Just enable it, and you can control input language on welcome screen by only two registry values. The accepted solution from user Ender might not work because it lacks a final step. As the answer from user Alexander Davidenko states , there is another option that will automatically revert the changes you just made if you only follow Ender's answer.

You should finally be able to use your current keyboard layout as a default input method in the Welcome screen!

In addition to the accepted solution you should also save language for every application when you switch between apps your language should also change. Set a checkbox "Let me use a different input method for each app window". I found the solution and it is even simpler than that. They just go to "language preferences". Left click on the language of your country, then options. If you go there there is a box that says "add keyboards".

Add your custom layout and delete the default layout of it. And ready. When you start windows you will do it with the language of your country, but with your personalized keyboard. You didn't have to mess with so many settings. It was simpler. Search all kinds of forums and the answer was so obvious that no one saw it.
